Workshop
Loom Use
- Looms
must be reserved with the Workshop Chairman in advance of workshops,
and require a $5.00 maintenance fee, paid in advance.
- When
workshops are held at the North Dekalb Cultural Center, the looms
stay on-site
and are warped in Room 1. The dates are determined by the Properties
Chairman
after
consulting
with the Education Chairman.
- Warps
must be cut off at the end of the workshop. Under some circumstances,
when looms are not needed for classes, looms will remain in Room
1 and participants may weave off warps to a date determined by
the Education
and Properties Chairmen.
- When
workshops are held off-site, all rules for property
rental apply. (A person must be a member in good standing
for 6 months, and there will
be a deposit required comparable to loom rental deposits as well
as the $5.00 maintenance fee.) The loom must be returned at
the end of the workshop
or at a time designated by the Properties Chairman. The loom
must be checked in by the Property Chairman or a Properties
committee member.
- Under
most circumstances, looms do not leave the property. If the loom
leaves
the property after the workshop, it will be treated as
a
loom rental with a deposit and appropriate fees, and only with
the permission of the Properties and Education Chairs.
For
more information, please contact the Properties
Chairman.
